    S.D.P. CELEBRATES MAHA SHIVRATRI

     

      Maha Shivratri Festival was celebrated with great pomp and show in the premises of SDP Sr. Sec. School, Hazuri Road, Ludhiana. Students presented their views chanted; Bhajans on this occasion Tandav dance and Tableaus were presented.

     

    President Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin congratulated the students and motivated them to participate in such events with full zeal.

     

     Principal Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan highly applauded the efforts of students to make it a remarkable day and inspired the students to worship Lord Shiva to get their desires fulfilled.     

     

     

     

  • Farewell of 10+2   (30 Nov )

     

    S.D.P. SR. SEC. SCHOOL, BADE WARM ADIEU TO 10+2 STUDENTS

               

     

         A wonderful adieu was given to the seniors by 10+1 students (Science, Commerce and Arts) of S.D.P. by presenting an exquisite extravaganza. To make it a memorable day the school campus was beautifully decorated.

     

       The students of 10+1 extended a warm and hearty welcome to their seniors.

     

        Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.), conveyed his best wishes and expressed his lofty expectations from the outgoing students..

     

        The function started with a welcome speech followed by a “JYOTI PRAJJAWALAN” invoking upon the blessings of the Almighty. The school was decked up with flowers which gave a spiritual ambience.

     

                   The Distinguished dignitaries Sh. Vijayindra Gupta, Sh. Dhari Shah Singla  graced the occasion.

     

          One minute game show and the dance performances of the students were the main attractions of the function which kept the students spell bound. Students tapped their feet on the beats of Punjabi song and rocked the floor with ‘BHANGARA’. Students of class 10+2 showed nostalgic emotions through music.

     

    1. The title Mr. S.D.P. was bagged by Mandeep.
    2. 1st runner up was Shivam Mishra.
    3. 2nd runner up was Parvesh.

    Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose Jyanti Celebrated S.D.P. Sen. Sec School,  Ludhiana

    Birth anniversary of Shaheed Subhash Chandra Bose was celebrated with great enthusiasm by      students of S.D.P Sen. Sec. School delivered speeches contemplating Subhash Chandra Bose’s thinking. Students presented speech and poems which fills the atmosphere with the feeling of patriotism.

    S.D.P. Sabha President Mr. Balraj Kumar Bhasin and  Principal Sh.   • Schools to reopen for primary, pre-primary students on Feb 1   (29 Jan )

    After over ten months of closure due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, schools for students of Classes 1 and 2, will reopen on February 1, Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla informed on Friday.
    "Following the conditional approval of the state government, all government, aided and private schools are set to reopen for class 1 and 2 and pre-primary classes from February 1," a statement from the state government quoted Singla.
    "Parents firmly support the decision of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh," the cabinet minister said, adding that detailed safety guidelines have also been sent to the schools and officials and school management have been told to strictly comply.
    Singla further said that since students of pre-primary classes are younger, department officials and the management have been directed to remain more attentive, and schools have been asked to prepare a special seating plan to maintain physical distancing.
    "Principals and school teachers have also been directed to reach out to the parents through various means of communication including public address systems to make them aware of safety norms," Singla said, advising students that apart from schools, they should avoid visiting other places.
    Students from Class 5 to 12 had started going to school on January 7.

    School education minister directs all school managements to strictly comply Covid-19 precautions

    Chandigarh, January 6:

    Punjab school education minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, on Wednesday, said that following the persistent demand of parents, the state government has decided to reopen all government, semi-government and private schools from January 7 onwards. Mr. Singla said that the timings of the schools will be from 10 am to 3 pm and students only from class V to XII will be allowed to attend physical classes in the schools.

    Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that while giving his nod, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh directed them to ensure the safety of the children amid Covid-19 pandemic. He added that following the directions of the CM, all school managements have been asked to strictly comply with the directions of the government specially advisory issued by the health department to avert the threat of contraction of coronavirus.

    The cabinet minister informed that the education department had taken feedback from the school heads and besides ensuring safety of the children, they have also suggested the department to reopen the schools before the annual exams for final revision of the students.

    "CM Capt. Amarinder Singh has launched "Mission Shat Pratishat '' while presiding over a mega event of Smart Phone distribution to the students of class XII on November 07, last year. After announcement, the whole education department, specially the school teachers, have been geared up to turn the vision of the CM into reality by putting in dedicated efforts at the cutting edge level," the Education Minister further added while lauding the teachers for acting as real Corona warriors to provide quality education facilities to the students.

    1. Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President of S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.) & Institutions was the “Chief Guest” of the occasion.

     

    1. Sh. Lekh Raj Arora, President P.T.A. was the Chief patron of the function. Sh. Lekh Raj Arora, President P.T.A. welcomed the chief guest and other guests. The other distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion were Sh. Dhari Shah Singla, Sh. Vijay Inder Gupta, Sh. Sanjeev Gupta, Sh. K. K. Mahendru, Dr. Sanjeev Bindra, Ms. Indu Khurana, Sh.   • 550th Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji   (09 Sep )

                       550th Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji  celebrated in the premises of SDP Sen. Sec. School, Hazuri Road Ludhiana. S. Manjeet Singh Cheema Zonal Commissioner, Sh. Sham Sunder Malhotra Senior Deputy Mayor, Sh. Ashwani Sahota Nodel Officer were the chief guests of the occasion. The function started with ceremonial Jyoti Prajawalan followed by shabad. Declamation contest and slogan writing competitions were organized to highlight the life and teachings of the great Saint. Sh.Sham Sunder Malhotra applauded the efforts of the students. He also shared his views to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and maintain cleanness for health hygiene. Sh. Surinder Arora sanitry inspector(MCl) also laid stress to avoid the use of plastic. Students were pledged by the Chief Guest not to use plastic for eco-friendly environment.

                                                   Winners of the Competitions of Slogan Writing:- Gurkanwal, Saurav and Gajinder, Declamation contest:- Gaurav Singh, Vinay and Yash Chopra were awarded by guest Sh.     A tribute to Kargil Martyrs was paid by NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers of S.D.P Sr.Sec. School, Hazuri Road, Ludhiana. Students presented speeches, Patriotic songs and poems with full vigour. These programmes are conducted as per the directions of Worthy President Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin. Sh.   • SEMINAR CONDUCTED BY IIT (PROFESSOR)   (17 May )

        In the premises of S.D.P Sen. Sec. School Hazuri road, a Seminar was conducted by Dr. Sugandh Malhotra ( B.Tech. Ph.d ) Assistant professor IIT Mumbai. He shared his knowledge with science students. Their prospects in the various streams and professional options related to science.

        He told the students about the new techniques and inventions in the field of IIT related to the modern needs of people. Through videos he exhibited the new designs of cars and motorcycles designed by his students.

    Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan thanked him for sparing valuable time to share his knowledge with the young innovative minds.

  • Himanshu a student of commerce shines in Board Merit   (13 May )

    The Result of S.D.P Sen. Sec. School , Hazuri Road Ludhiana was declared excellent. Himanshu a student of commerce secured  95.33%  Marks and got position in the merit list of P.S.E.B. Overall result of the school remained 97%. Nearly 10 students got above 90% Marks and more than 30 students got above 80% Marks. Ninety percent students of the school secured 1st Division. Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President and Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan, Principal congratulated the Parents, Students and the Staff of the School.   • RAM LEELA CELBRATION COMPLETED   (19 Oct )
    Ram leela show was completed in the premises of S.D.P Sr. Sec. School, Hazuri Road, Ludhiana. The show was conducted by the students for nine days. Sh.   • SCHOOL TIMMING CHANGED   (29 Sep )

    Timings of Schools to change from October 1

    The Punjab Government has issued an order to change the timings of all the government, private aided and recognized schools in the state.

    Disclosing this, a spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that the new timings for the said primary schools would be from 9 am to 3:00 pm while the Middle, High and Senior Secondary Schools would run from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm.

    The changed timings will be effective from 1st October, 2018 till further orders.

    ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ, ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਏਡਿਡ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਦਲਣ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਬਦਲੀ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ 1 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ, 2018 ਤੋਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੀ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।

    ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਮਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਵੇਰ 9:00 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 3:00 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਲੱਗਣਗੇ ਜਦਕਿ ਮਿਡਲ, ਹਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 9:00 ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ 3:20 ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

    शिक्षा फोकस, जालंधर। à¤¶à¤¿à¤•à¥à¤·à¤¾ विभाग ने स्कूलों के समय में परिवर्तन कर दिया है। बदला गया समय एक अक्टूबर 2018 से लागू होगा। यह जानकारी अधीन सचिव स्कूल शिक्षा जतिन्दर कौर ने दी है। उनके मुताबिक राज्य के समूह सरकारी, प्राईवेट, एडेड तथा मान्यता प्राप्त स्कूल 1 अक्टूबर से सुबह 9 बजे लरेंगे। उनके मुताबिक प्राईमरी स्कूलों का समय मिडिल, हाई, सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूलों के मुकाबले 20 मिनट कम रखा गया है।
    नए टाईम टेबल के मुताबिक प्राईमरी स्कूल सुबह 9 बजे खुलेंगे तथा 3 बजे बंद होंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि एेसे ही मिडिल, हाई, सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूलों के लिए सुबह 9 बजे से लेकर दोपहर 3.20 का समय निर्धारित किया गया है।

  • NSS VOLUNTEERS OF SDP CONDUCTED ANTI-DRUG RALLY   (30 Nov )

    NSS Volunteers of S.D.P Sen. Sec. School, Hazuri Road conducted Anti Drug Rally through slogans and Mottos to create awareness against the use of drugs such programs are conducted as per the guidance of Worthy President Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin. The rally passed through Chaura Bazar, Kesar Ganj Mandi. The rally moved under the leadership of the programme officer Mrs. Neena Sharma and Sh. Jagmohan Verma.

    Principal Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan appreciated the whole heartedly efforts made by NSS Volunteers. He also laid stress on the need of leading Healthy life by saying “No To Drugs”.

    SH. RAM LAL BHASIN MEMORIAL INTER - SCHOOLS DECLAMATION CONTEST

     

    S.D.P. Sr. Sec. School, Hazoori Road, Ludhiana, conducted “ SH. RAM LAL BHASIN MEMORIAL DECLAMATION CONTEST ” in the sacred memory of Late Sh. Ram Lal Bhasin, a freedom fighter and philanthropist in the school premises.

     

    Dr. Rishi Pal Singh (P.C.S), Additional Commisioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest of the occasion.

     

    Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President of S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.) and Institutions and Sh. Lekh Raj Arora, President P.T.A. was the Chief patron of the function. Sh. Lekh Raj Arora, President P.T.A. welcomed the chief guest and other guests. The other distinguished dignitaries who graced the occasion were Sh. H.K Chugh (Vice President), Principal Dr. Sanjeev Bindra, Ms. Raman Oberoi, Mrs. Indu Khurana, Mrs. Manju Bhashni, Sh. Dhari Shah Singla,Sh. Mangal Sain Grover, Sh. Ravinder Singhania and  Sh. Pawan Sharma.

     

    The Judges of Declamation Contest were:

    In this Declamation Contest nearly twenty teams of various reputed PSEB, CBSE and ICSE schools participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

    Dr. Rishi Pal Singh in his address emphasized upon the cleaniness derive started by India and highlighted the importance of living hale and hearty life by remaining neat and clean.

     

    Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President of S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.) & Institutions addressed the students and motivated them to inculcate competitive spirit for the Progress of Nation. Sh. H.K. Chugh, Vice President congratulated the winners and extended vote of thanks to the guests for their benign presence. The topics of declamation were related to the current social issues like IDENTITY OF MODERN INDIA IN WORLD SCENARIO, DID DEMONITIZATION AND GST HELP OR HURT THE ECONOMY?, IS TECHNOLOGY HELPING OR HURTING JOBS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRY?, ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF MOBILE PHONES IN STUDENT LIFE, TERRORISM A DANGER TO HUMANITY.

    FAREWELL PARTY AT S.D.P. SCHOOL

               

     

    A wonderful adieu was given to the seniors by 10+1 students (Science, Commerce and Arts) of S.D.P. by presenting an exquisite extravaganza. To make it a memorable day the school campus was beautifully decorated.

     

    Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President S.D.P. Sabha (Regd.), conveyed his best wishes and expressed his lofty expectations from the outgoing students.

     

    Sh. Dhari Shah Singla, member managing committee and Smt. Indu Khurana Graced the Occasion.

     

    The function was started with a welcome speech followed by a “JYOTI PRAJJAWALAN” invoking upon the blessings of the Almighty. The school was decked up with flowers which gave a spiritual ambience.

     

    One minute games and the dance performances of the students were the main attractions of the function which made students enjoy the occasion in a fun filled way. Students tapped their feet on the beats of Punjabi song and rocked the floor with ‘BHANGARA’. Students of class 10+2 showed nostalgic emotions through music.

     

    A contest for the title Mr. S.D.P.  was held

    • Naresh Dhanda won the title of Mr. SDP
    • Mohit  was the 1st runner up.
    • RaghavTalwar  was the 2nd runner up.

  • SDP CELEBRATED BASANT PANCHMI   (30 Nov )

    S.D.P SR. SEC. SCHOOL, HAZURI ROAD, LUDHIANA Celebrated Basant Panchmi by offering prayer to Goddess Saraswati to dispel the darkness and spread wisdom. The students and the staff offered their prayers.

     

    On this occasion a kite flying competition was also organized in which around 50 students took part. The results are as under:-

      NCC Cadets of S.D.P SR. SEC. SCHOOL HAZURI ROAD, LUDHIANA attended NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP (PART-2) at Ropar Cadet Shivansh was awarded with Gold Medal for     Best Drill in the Camp.

    Five cadets of the school also attended ARMY ATTACHMENT CAMP AT FIROZPUR. The performance of the cadets was appreciated by the camp organizers.

School, Quilla Mohalla celebrated Joint Diwali Festival with great pomp and show in the premises of S.D.P College for Women on October 12, 2017.

    Sh. Lekh Raj Arora was the chief Guest of the Morning Session. Sh.Balraj Kumar Bhasin was the chief guest of closing session who awarded and blessed the extra-ordinary students.

    The Principals of the above said institutons Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan, Sh.Sanjeev Bindra, Smt. Indu Khurana and Mrs. Manju Bhashni welcomed all the Guests.

    The students presented Bhangra ,Pop Dance, Mimicary,Mime, Group Dance,Solo Dance,Mehfil -e-Kawali. .. The fest began with melodious “SARASWATI VANDANA “. The choreography based on  Mythology was the star attraction and kept the audience spell bound.

    In his presidential address Sh.Balraj Kumar Bhasin emphasized that such activities are source of recalling the rich culture of India. Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan, Principal explained the importance of the festival and congratulated the participants for their glorious performance. The meritorious students were also honoured on this occasion. Sh.H.K Chugh thanked all the guests and dignitaries

    Celebration of International Youth Day

    S.D.P Sr. Sec. School, Hazuri Road, Ludhiana. Celebrated International Youth Day in school campus. On this special day the youths were motivated to take part in eradicating the social evils like drugs, aids, corruptions, female foeticite etc. Nearly 150 students took part in Slogan writing, Human chain forming and Interschool discussions.

    Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin President S.D.P Sabha and Institutions called for the youth to extend their whole hearted efforts for the nation building and upkeeping the moral and social values.

    Sh. Jasveer Singh Chauhan Principal addressed the gathering and highlighted the roadmap of country upto 2030. The youths have to set targets for the progress and prosperity of their country.
