Under the Government's Van Mahotsav initiative, SDP Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, Ludhiana, celebrated the festival by receiving saplings from the Forest Department. The saplings were distributed among the NSS students, who also planted them on the school campus. Members of the school's Eco Club, Mrs. Neena Sharma and Mrs. Neetu Soni, along with Mr. Rajat Sethi, NSS Programme Officer, encouraged the students not only to plant trees but also to take responsibility for their care and maintenance. The President of the School Management Committee, Mr. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, and the Principal, Mr. Jasveer Singh Chauhan, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of environmental awareness. They also highlighted the vital role that trees and plants play in sustaining life and maintaining ecological balance.
