On this day, the british soldiers opened fire on a peaceful gatherings in Amritsar’s jalian wala bagh. Guru gobind singh, the tenth guru of the Sikhs established the khlsa panth tradition in 1699 through a ritual called “Amrit Sanskar” marking a significant turning point in Sikh history.
